12 Jul 2014, Hong Kong's young and upcoming designers, Daydreamers Design, collaborates with children's educational centre JEMS and environmental organisation Plastic Free Seas to lead low-income families to participate in a beach cleanup, organised by The Coffee Academïcs' Weekend Upcycling Workshop.
Plastic bottles were collected and upcycled into a colourful art installation - Plastic Coral.
Other than it being symbolic of marine conservation, the children also learned more about marine life and teamwork as they came together to decorate the plastic bottles. The event was made even more meaningful by professionals from different industries sharing their views on environmental protection.
